lifesaver
This program is designed to five advanced swimmers the foundation of life guarding.  participants will learn the skills required to be a lifeguard through hands on practice.  Classes will focus on fitness, professionalism, emergency response and accident prevention.  participants must be able to swim the length of the pool continuously, tread water for one minute and swim submerged for 10 feet.  Guard Start meets for eight classes Monday through Thursday (Fridays used for make-ups)
This IS NOT a lifeguard, CPR/AED or First Aid certification course.

Refunds/Transfers:
Full refunds are only granted for medical reasons, upon receipt of a doctor's note.  No refunds or transfers are made once a camp session has started.  There is a $5.00 charge for any cancelations or transfers you make between programs.  If the Parks and Recreation Department cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
