REGISTRATION FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR IS NOW OPEN!
The REK (Recreation and Education for Kids) program is for students at each of the elementary schools in Vernon. We strive to provide a variety of fun, engaging indoor and outdoor activities to help kids learn, make friends, and have fun after school.
Daily Activities include: Homework time, snack, sports & group games, arts & crafts, table activities, special activities
Grades: K-5
Location: Center Road School, Lake Street School, Maple Street School, Skinner Road School *Students from Northeast School will be bussed to Maple Street
Dates: First day of school - Last day of School
Time: End of school day - 6:00pm
Fees: Fees are assessed as a flat monthly rate based on the number of days your child attends each week.

*A Daily Rate ($16) is available for children attending fewer than 2 days per week or on a variable schedule. In order to receive the daily rate, schedules must be submitted & days paid for no later than Thursday of the week prior.
To register, please return a completed registration form to the Vernon Parks & Recreation Office with payment for the first full month. Registrations must be received by Thursday of the week prior to starting the program.
For your convenience, your child will be registered for the full school year. Families are welcome to pay ahead if they wish, but payments are still due by the 15th of each month prior at the latest (October payment due Sept 15, etc.). Please refer to the Parent Handbook for information on how to make a schedule change or withdraw from the program.
Each program site requires a minimum of 15 registered participants to run.
