General Information
Valley Falls Park offers picnic groves and a pavilion which are available to rent. This scenic park also provides hiking trails and a lake with a small beach front. The beach at Valley Falls Park is open for swimming seasonally Sunday through Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The park entrance fee is not included in the rental of the picnic area or pavilion. Fees are $5 per vehicle (up to f people per vehicle) or $1 per person walk in.

Pavilion

$75 for 3 hours (minimum of 3 hour rental)
$40 for each additional hour
Pavilion with bathroom facilities
$150 for 3 hours (minimum of 3 hour rental)
$65 for each additional hour
  • Use of swimming facilities not included in rental fee
Picnic Grove
$50 for 3 hours (minimum of 3 hour rental)
$25 for each additional hour
Picnic Grove with bathroom facilities
$125 for 3 hours (minimum of 3 hour rental)
$50 for each additional hour

General Policies for use of the Parks & Recreation property
  • Parks are open to the general public for use on a first come, first serve basis, UNLESS the area is reserved.
  • Parks open at dawn, or when security gates are open
  • Parks close at dusk, except for the following:
    • When planned activities are scheduled
    • Lighted facilities including, Tennis, Softball or Basketball- April 1st to November 30th
  • Pets must be on a leash
  • No dogs in pools, lakes, or playgrounds
  • Owners are responsible for pets when they defecate
  • No alcoholic beverages, permitted on any Town of Vernon property
  • No inflatable (bounce houses) permitted on Parks and Recreation property
  • The following activities are prohibited on Parks and Recreation Property
    • Parking or driving on the grass and overnight parking
    • Repairs to automobiles (changing oil, radiator fluid repairs, etc.)
    • Metal detectors
    • Flying of drones or model airplanes, unless special permission from the Director of Parks and Recreation is given
    • Archery or dart practice
    • Golf playing or driving golf balls
    • Public dumping of off-site trash
    • Riding an unregister motorized vehicle including mini-bikes, motor bikes, ATV’s and go-carts
    • Lighting of fireworks
